Zamar Y.A.U.W. is a Bahamian born singer-songwriter known for his infectious personality and signature fusion sounds that is of island soul, with global rhythms that include Afrobeats and Amapiano. He moved to the United States and landed in the heart of Houston, TX at the age of 10-years old. As Zamar grew up, he watched his father Bernard Pierre Sr. perform as a professional musician on the regional circuit. This experience influenced Zamar to study musicianship and eventually encouraged him to pursue the music industry professionally.

Zamar’s music creates feel-good experiences that move the body and heart. His debut EP entitled LOVER’S BLVD features songs called Real Love and Social Freaks that were produced by Platinum Super-Producer Mr. Hanky. Zamar has headlined concerts at prominent venues such as Live Nation’s House of Blues, the legendary Warehouse Live, the Houston Improv, the George R. Brown Convention Center, the San Luis Resort, and has made his way to perform in Puerto Rico.

Zamar is also a passionate chef that brings the same creativity to his cuisine. His food business called Yauw’s Kitchen combines his love for food and music into a vibrant cultural experience. Whether on stage or in chef mode, Zamar is all about flavor, rhythm, and connection.

Zamar is currently preparing for his debut album and tour run that will embark the next chapter of his professional career. ZAMAR means “to make music” in Hebrew. The acronym Y.A.U.W. means “You Are Ultimately Worthy.”
